Responsible Trekking Peru

Our principal objective of responsible trekking Peru has always come down to one idea: “help me to help.” Not just thinking of ourselves, or of growing the company for its own sake. Our focus is more on what we can put back into the places that make our work possible.

Five per cent of every service we sell goes directly to social projects supporting the communities we work in, or those in need. As far as we know, only two agencies in Cusco do this in any real, ongoing way. We say that not to compete, but because it matters to us that travellers know where their money actually goes. This is part of what it means to operate responsible trekking in Peru rather than just claim the label.

We will personally email every traveller who books with us to show exactly where that 5% went and how it was used. No vague statements, no yearly report that nobody reads. A direct account, sent to you.

It’s a small thing on the surface, but it is the difference between being an authentic Peru travel company and simply saying you are one. We would rather our travellers judge us by what we actually do with their trip than by what we write about ourselves. If that is the kind of operator you’re looking for. One where authentic trekking experiences in Peru come with a genuine sense of where your money goes. Welcome! This is who we are.
