ARCO IRIS MOUNTAÑA CAMINATA 2 Días/ 1 noche Situada al sur de Cusco y dominada por la cordillera de AUSANGATE (6371 m), esta zona trasera siempre se mantuvo aislada de las influencias externas Chilca y otras aldeas andinas, sabían mantener intactas muchas de sus costumbres, Tradiciones y hábitos del período precolonial, sus formaciones geológicas revelan todo su esplendor, en contraste con el cielo azul que forma una barrera formidable entra en el desierto costero y la selva amazónica, imponente cordillera Vilcanota cuenta con casi tantos glaciares como la Cordillera Blanca

Día 1: Cusco, Urcos, Cusipata, Chilca, Quispicanchis

Recojo temprano a las 06:00 am desde su hotel en Cusco, provincia de Quispicanchis, hogar de la magnífica y sagrada cordillera de Ausangate (cordillera Vilcanota), de las Montañas Arco Iris y de innumerables otras maravillas naturales. En el camino nos detendremos en dos hermosas iglesias coloniales y miradores panorámicos. Llegaremos a nuestro punto de partida de trekking a mediodía, y descanso para un sabroso almuerzo de picnic antes de salir a nuestro campamento por la noche, Illapampa. Nuestra caminata comienza con un ascenso moderado, luego continúa por prados suavemente inclinados llenos de pastoreo de alpacas y llamas. Vamos a acampar por la noche cerca de la casa tradicional de una familia de la agricultura alpaca, y hablar con ellos un poco sobre su estilo de vida y la tierra. Disfrute de una cena recién preparada por nuestro cocinero, luego instalarse en su cómoda tienda de campaña para la noche, o disfrutar de una bebida caliente y disfrutar del increíble cielo. (L – D)

Día 2: Illapampa – Montaña Arco Iris – Regreso a Cusco.

Después de un desayuno abundante, se puso en marcha para el arco iris Rainbow Mountian! Ascender a través de montañas de color rojo oscuro, con vistas de picos nevados en la distancia cercana. Después de 1,5 a 2 horas de caminata, llegaremos al paso de Vinicunca, frente a la colorida montaña. Disfrute de tiempo para explorar por su cuenta, tomar fotos y disfrutar de increíbles vistas de la Montaña Arco Iris, Ausangate, y múltiples otros picos que dominan la zona. Después de un descanso para el almuerzo, comenzaremos la caminata de retorno, llegando a su hotel de Cusco en la tarde temprano. (B -L)

WHAT TO BRING FOR YOUR TREK

  • 1 small nylon reinforced backpack to carry the things you need for the trek (camera, drinks, etc.)
  • 1 large backpack or suitcase to keep the things you don‘t need in your hotel in Cusco until you return from your trek
  • Sleeping bag good for -5°C (which can be rented in Cusco)
  • Small flashlight and extra batteries
  • 1 water bottle (1 liter) or a small plastic throw away bottle
  • Hiking boots
  • Tennis shoes
  • 1 jacket (of nylon with hood and water and wind resistant)
  • 1 Fleece Jacket
  • 1 pair of gloves and hat of wool (they can be bought during your trip).
  • 3 or 4 short sleeved shirts (preferably “dryfit” that don’t retain water).
  • 2 pairs of shorts such as bermudas.
  • Medias: 4 pairs of wool and 4 of fiber (coolmax) for the trek (avoid cotton as these can retain water)
  • 1 sun hat and sunglasses
  • Personal medications and toiletries in small containers
  • Sunscreen for your skin and lips
  • Insect repellant
  • Moisturizer lotion to avoid the drying out of the skin
  • Bathing suit for the thermal baths in Aguas Calientes

OPTIONAL

  • Heated sleeping mat
  • Sleeping bags which can be rented in the office for $5 per day and good for – 10°C.
  • Professional walking sticks can be rented in the office for $2 per day
  • Energy foods: chocolates, granola bars, dried fruits, etc. (they can be purchased in Cusco.
